Wyoming Real Estate License Requirements

Sales Associate License Requirements 

• Be at least 18 years old
• Complete a 54 hour, state approved prelicense course
• Pass a proctored final exam (grade of 70% required to pass)
• Pass the state exam (grade of 75% required to pass)

Broker License Requirements 

• Be at least 18 years old
• Must have at least two years of experience as a licensed salesperson
• Complete a 54 hour, state approved prelicense course
• Pass a proctored final exam (grade of 70% required to pass)
• Pass the state exam (grade of 75% required to pass)

Continuing Education Requirements

• Every three years a total of forty-five (45) clock hours of continuing education
• Twenty-four (24) of the required hours must come from:
  • Marketplace Issues - 8 hours
  • Contracting, Trust Account and Closing - 8 hours
  • Practical Applications - 8 hours
• Remaining 21 hours can be from general or prescribed courses RENEWALS • All licensees renew on December 31st every three years
